Saving and Giving has moved to savingandgiving.net! I hope that you'll all join me over at Saving & Giving's new home. I'm planning some fun giveaways to kick things off. I'm still working on the site, and I'd love to hear your input. Let me know which features you want me to keep. You can email me at savingandgiving@gmail.com. If you're currently an email subscriber, you shouldn't see any change in your daily email newsletter. I switched the feed over so that you should continue to receive your daily updates.

Coupon Courtesy

I went to Kroger last night with my hubby and daughter, and we used several of the buy 3 - get 1 Kraft item free (in All You Magazine this month - available at Wal-Mart). I kept the freebie items back so that they would be together in one group at the end. This made it VERY easy for the cashier to fill in the dollar value on the coupon and then to ring them correctly. She mentioned that she appreciated this, and it made me wonder what else we could do to make our couponing more convenient for our cashiers and fellow customers.

When I have buy 1 - get 1 free coupons, sometimes (if I have the presence of mind to do it) I'll write the dollar amount in on the coupon for the cashier. Then he/she doesn't have to do that part of the task.

Another courtesy I thought of was letting someone with just a few items go in front of me in line. Even if I have a smaller number of items on any given week, it still takes me longer than the average Joe to get done with checkout. The coupons take a little time to scan, especially if the cashier has to enter the amount and note it on the coupon. Other customers can get antsy behind me if it takes too long. I'm certainly not giving up the coupons, so letting them go first is a great way to make someone's day and avoid making them wait for my bargains. If you have any other courtesy ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Thank you so much for sharing where the All You magazine can be found. I've been reading about it but no one has been mentioning where to buy it!
