Welcome Friends Church FPU Class!

I just wanted to welcome the members of the East Richland Friends Church Financial Peace University class to Saving and Giving. For those of you who are regulars here, I just did a presentation at the FPU class tonight. I crammed way too much information into two hours, and I'm sure that the participants were all feeling a bit overwhelmed by the time we were done. But hopefully you all walked away with a few more money-saving tricks and an awareness of the amazing deals that are out there. If you have any questions at all, you can either email me at savingandgiving@gmail.com or leave a comment on any of the posts on this site. I'm glad you're here!

Rite Aid BOGO Corporate Policy

I called my closest Rite Aid store today to ask about their Buy 1, Get 1 Free policy. Right now they have St. Ives skincare items B1G1. I have coupons for St. Ives skincare that are B1G1. I know that at CVS you can take advantage of the store's sale and add your coupon to it, and they will give you both items free.

When I called my local Rite Aid store, I was told that they cannot do that. I was polite, but I wondered if that was really the case or not. So I used the email form found on the Rite Aid website (here). I just got a reply back from someone who handles these corporate inquiries. His answer was short and sweet:

Yes. We will allow the use of BOGO coupons with BOGO sales.
Corey

Thanks, Corey! I printed the email and plan to take it with me to Rite Aid. Hopefully that will be enough to have them override and let me use the coupons. There are a couple of facial and body scrubs that would be great to put with my Christmas gifts for my cousins.
