Saving and Giving has moved to savingandgiving.net! I hope that you'll all join me over at Saving & Giving's new home. I'm planning some fun giveaways to kick things off. I'm still working on the site, and I'd love to hear your input. Let me know which features you want me to keep. You can email me at savingandgiving@gmail.com. If you're currently an email subscriber, you shouldn't see any change in your daily email newsletter. I switched the feed over so that you should continue to receive your daily updates.

A Great Week for CVS Newbies!

If you're new to CVS, I'm going to lay out a scenario for you that requires no Extra Care Bucks coming into it. It also requires no coupons, and it will cost you less than $10 to get started. You'll need to check out twice, and you'll need two copies of the $2 off any $10 purchase coupon found HERE. (You only need to print page 30. It says it expired on 9/30, but CVS usually honors their own coupons for 90 days after they expire.)

First Transaction:
2 Colgate MaxFresh toothpastes $2.99 each
1 Always Infinity $4.98

Use a $2 off any $10 purchase coupon

Total: $8.96 plus tax out-of-pocket (OOP)
Earn: $8.98 Extra Care Bucks (ECBs)

Second Transaction:
1 Bic Soleil razor $5.99
2 Lady Speedstick 24/7 or regular men's Speedstick $1.99 each
1 CVS beauty bar or gold bar (single bar soaps) $0.99

Use a $2 off any $10 purchase coupon
Use the $8.98 ECBs from the first transaction.*

Total: $0.00 plus tax OOP
Earn: $7.00 ECBs for next week

* Your total for the second transaction will actually be -$0.02, but the cashier is able to adjust your ECBs down 2 cents to match it. You're losing 2 cents but it's worth it!
