I stopped by CVS with my mom's Extra Care card in hopes of snagging more inexpensive Huggies GoodNites. I was also hoping to take advantage of the Pert Plus/Sure deal. My mom just told me about some people who could use the personal care items.
Unfortunately my CVS was completely out of the pull-ups in my daughter's size! I instantly switched gears and started to see what other deals I could work when I realized that I was totally defeating my original purpose for coming to the store.
At that point, I put back the three items in my cart and left the store. I don't think I've ever gone for a great deal and left with no deals at all. What a strange feeling!! Sure, there were probably deals to be had. But I wasn't looking for much other than the pull-ups and items my mom had mentioned to me.
There are other personal care item deals coming next week (tomorrow). I'll have plenty of opportunities to bless the people my mom told me about with some free or almost-free items then.
It was refreshing to not feel like I HAD to get a deal. I think I'm finally achieving some balance with this CVS thing!

Good for you! I just wish I had a CVS to shop at or leave empty-handed. I am sure there will be lots of deals on your next trip.
