Saving and Giving has moved to savingandgiving.net! I hope that you'll all join me over at Saving & Giving's new home. I'm planning some fun giveaways to kick things off. I'm still working on the site, and I'd love to hear your input. Let me know which features you want me to keep. You can email me at savingandgiving@gmail.com. If you're currently an email subscriber, you shouldn't see any change in your daily email newsletter. I switched the feed over so that you should continue to receive your daily updates.

Lots for Free and Almost-Free!

Yesterday I made one quick trip to CVS. My husband and daughter stopped by the pet store. We all got some free and almost-free goodies!

CVS Transaction #1:
Contour glucose meter $30.00
5 SoyJoy bars $1.00 each

- $2 off any $10 purchase (here - print just page 30) - Still works at my locations!
- $3 off 5 SoyJoy bars (HERE)
- $30.00 off any Contour meter from a recent Sunday newspaper insert

Total OOP $0 (not even tax!)
Earned $4.00 ECBs (SoyJoy)

CVS Transaction #2:
1 Breeze2 glucose meter $30.00
2 Orajel toddler toothpaste $3.99 each
1 3-pack Irish Spring bar soaps $2.49
1 20 oz. Coca-Cola (which I drank before the picture above!) $1.59

- $2 off any $10 purchase coupon
- $30.00 Breeze2 coupon from a recent Sunday newspaper insert
- $1.00 x Orajel coupons from a recent Sunday newspaper insert
- $1.59 Coke Rewards coupon
- $4.00 ECBs from transaction #1

Total OOP: $0.67 plus tax
Earned $0 ECBs

The glucose meters that I got this week will be donated. There is a lady in our church who works for a charitable organization. She said that they can always use these. If people get one free from their insurance or aid program and it breaks, then they have to replace it.

The picture above also shows the dog treats that my husband and daughter picked up at the pet store. They used two coupons for free Pedigree treats from a recent Sunday newspaper insert. Our dog gave them two paws up!

Also shown are the 8 pairs of socks that we got Emma for $1.50 (including tax) from Famous Footwear. We had received a $10 off a $10 purchase coupon in the mail, and we didn't see any shoes that we couldn't live without. So we opted for the socks. They're really bright, adorable colors too!

I plan to enter the code from the cap of my Coke bottle so that I can keep earning more free Coke from My Coke Rewards.
