It seems like it always takes me FOREVER to get through CVS. Is it just me???? It may be because I usually have my list broken into multiple orders so that I can use ECBs from one to pay for the next. And my local CVS never seems to have what I'm looking for. (That's why I usually head over the river into Wheeling, WV. They have a great CVS!!)
But today it was different....
My goal was to get inexpensive pull-ups for my daughter while not losing too many ECBs, and I did just that. I had my list broken into two transactions, and they had EVERYTHING on my list!!!! Here's what I did:
Transaction #1:
GoodNites Pull-Ups $9.99
Always Infinity $4.98
Always Infinity $4.98
-$1.00 Pull-Ups coupon
-$2 off any $10 purchase
-$10 ECBs from yesterday
-$2 off any $10 purchase
-$10 ECBs from yesterday
Total OOP: $1.97 plus tax
Earned $4.98 ECBs
Transaction #2:
3 Colgate Plus toothbrushes $0.99 each
3 Colgate MaxFresh toothpastes $2.99 each
CVS Beauty Bar $0.99
3 Colgate Plus toothbrushes $0.99 each
3 Colgate MaxFresh toothpastes $2.99 each
CVS Beauty Bar $0.99
-$2 off any $10 purchase
-$1.00 x 3 toothbrush coupons from recent newspaper insert
-$1.00 x 3 MaxFresh toothpaste coupons from recent newspaper insert
-$4.93 ECBs from last transaction (adjusted down)
-$1.00 x 3 toothbrush coupons from recent newspaper insert
-$1.00 x 3 MaxFresh toothpaste coupons from recent newspaper insert
-$4.93 ECBs from last transaction (adjusted down)
Total OOP: $0.00 plus tax
Earned $7 ECBs
I lost a few ECBs, but I got CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP nite pull-ups. And that's what this is all about... saving money and staying OUT of Wal-Mart! I will be putting the toothbrushes in my Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes and donating the toothpaste somewhere. I only did the second transaction to get the toothbrushes and to boost my ECBs back up.
This trip has restored my faith in CVS. It didn't take my whole lunch hour. It's one of the first QUICK trips to CVS I've had lately!
