CVS Shopping Trip 3/29

Merchandise Value: $32.83
Out-of-Pocket Spending: $15.09
Ending ECBs for Next Week: $2.00
I pretty much stuck to my plan (HERE) at CVS today. It wasn't my most savings-filled trip ever, but it was a trip of necessity. I was completely out of laundry detergent, I am almost out of deodorant, and my hubby is having some back troubles this week. The glucose meter will be donated. The juices were bought because we came straight from a playdate and were incredibly thirsty. The jelly beans were just because.....

WARNING: Don't bother with the 50 cent jelly beans. It may be a good deal, but they're gross. They're hard to chew, and the flavors aren't that great. Being someone who loves a good jelly bean, I highly recommend splurging on the Brach's. Sometimes a good bean has to come before a good deal.

I did the glucose meter alone as my first transaction. I planned to send in for the $9.99 rebate using the form found in the package. However, when I got home, I realized that the form had to be submitted by January 31, 2009. UGH! I will probably take this back and ask to exchange it for a more current one. I really do want the rebate, or I wouldn't have bothered with this in the first place. So, I paid $9.99 out-of-pocket for the meter.

My second transaction was this:
2 jelly beans (ick!) 50 cents each
1 Lady Speedstick $1.99
2 ThermaCare heat wraps $5.99 each
1 All Small & Mighty laundry detergent $4.49
1 Fuze juice $1.69
1 Welch's juice $1.69
Merchandise Total: $22.84

Coupons Used:
-$0.75 Lady Speedstick from newspaper insert today
-$1 All from All You last month
-$2 ThermaCare x 2 from All You last month
-$9.99 ECBs from glucose meter
-$2.00 ECBs from last week

Total OOP: $5.10
ECBs Earned: $2.00
