My First Rite Aid Single Check Reward

Today I received my first ever Single Check Reward from Rite Aid. I heard about a night pull-up deal that they were running in February and decided to give Rite Aid a try. I did, and I'm hooked!

Rite Aid doesn't take printable coupons (at least mine doesn't), so you have to plan your shopping trips a little differently than you do if you're CVSing. But there are tons of great deals to be had.

Last month, I spent a total of $17.67 at Rite Aid. I earned $18.98 that arrived as a check in the mail today. I also earned a $10 Rite Aid gift card and a t-shirt. Those two items are coming as a separate shipment. With just the check, I came out $1.21 ahead. I was able to purchase all of the following items:

  • 2 Huggies Good Nites pull-ups

  • 1 Garnier Fructis Mousse

  • 10 SoyJoy bars (given to co-workers)

  • 1 Bayer Aspirin

  • 4 glucose meters (donated)

  • 1 5-count Peeps

  • 1 Almay One Coat mascara

  • 2 Almay lipglosses (clearance items)

  • 1 box Fiber One bars

  • 1 Garnier shampoo

  • 1 #4 birthday candle

I would have paid about $20 (less coupons) for the pull-ups alone had I shopped at Wal-Mart. So, I made money and saved money. And I still have a gift card coming!

I've been a HUGE fan of CVS, so this was my first venture into the land of Rite Aid. Come along, and I'll share some of my scenarios. Maybe we can make some money together this month.

hello! I love your blog! I am starting to CVS a lot but I try not to buy too much because I live with just one other person (a guy who barely uses any products! haha) But 2 questions - 1) How can I follow your blog on blogroll (not on email)? 2) I have the coupon for a free glucose meter that I would also like to donate, but it says you need to present a prescription for a blood glucose monitoring system, is that not true? I got it from March's All You magazine.

I've found that you don't need to have the prescription at all. I've never had anyone ask for it. The cashier will need to fill in the serial number on the coupon for the store to get credit from the manufacturer though.

I know what you mean about guys not using much. We must just be more high-maintenance! :) I have found that my husband is more willing to try new products when they're free. I got him hooked on using body wash versus a bar soap. He says it's the same without the effort of having to lather the bar soap!

I see that you're on my follower's list, so I'm going to assume that you found the way to follow via a reader. If you didn't, let me know. I can try to help.

Thanks for stopping by!

I am new to couponing and I am hooked!!!!
I was going through the ad's this Sunday and I came across the Rite Aid one, I was tickled to see that Huggies were on sale and that there is a Rite Aid right down the street from me.
I have a question though: I often hear of people taking about the RR program from Walgreens (which is down the street from me as well), does it cost to be part of their Rewards Program? I have called the 800# and asked in the store and they say that it is $20 per year... is that true?
I love your blog, it is very user friendly and I have passed it along to a few gal-friends... We're all hooked and so is my hubby! Thanks! blondalynn@hotmail.com

This couoponing thing can certainly be addicting! :) I am definitely not an expert on Walgreens, as we don't have one locally. They're building one on the same block as my office, and I'm incredibly excited about that!! However, I've never heard of them charging anything.

In the meantime, I recommend that you head over to Money Saving Mom's website for her Walgreens 101 explanation. You'll find it here: http://www.moneysavingmom.com/money_saving_mom/2008/03/ive-been-shoppi.html
