Creative Birthday Gift Idea

When my brother and sister-in-law came to visit last weekend, my family celebrated a belated Mother's Day, my dad's birthday, my husband's birthday (early), and my birthday (early). WHEW! That's a lot of celebrating. Fortunately, we only had one cake!

My sister-in-law was VERY creative in her presentation of their gift for me and my husband. They wanted us to come and visit them in Columbus for a weekend. They presented us with a Build-a-Birthday gift.......

This 12x12 page is absolutely ADORABLE! The picture doesn't do it justice! On the bottom left you will see a gift card for dinner. The gift card is good for several different restaurants, and the menu for each restaurant was tucked into a pocket on the back of the Build-a-Birthday page. Above the gift card holder are our options for a pre-dinner or after-dinner activity. We can choose from tickets to COSI, AMC movie tickets, Columbus Zoo tickets, or Magic Mountain passes. All of these options include free child care. (Emma will LOVE this part of it!)

On the right side are our bed & breakfast options. For breakfast we can choose from a variety of pancakes, French toast, omelets, or whatever else we want. Notice the cute little his and hers bathrobes at the bottom of the page!

Jeff and Jill put together an opportunity for Jason and I to spend some time together for our birthdays. The Build-a-Birthday method of presenting it was so creative! This was an incredibly thoughtful gift. And we truly appreciate it! I can't wait to find a weekend when we can put it all to use!
