Great Clearance Deals at CVS

I stopped by CVS today to pick up a prescription only to find out that they hadn't yet filled it. So we stopped by the toy aisle where my daughter is content to check out what all is there. (Fortunately she never asks to take any of it home!) We also made a quick trip down the clearance aisle. I was surprised to find things on the endcap and in a shopping cart as well. They're really clearing out some of their merchandise! The cashier said that they are getting new products in and making room for everything. Here's what we snagged from the clearance section.

1 set of 20 gift bags - $4.99 (was $9.99)
100 sheets of tissue paper (rainbow assortment) - $2.49
1 box of Tootie Fruities cereal - $.25
1 pack of Trident Xtra Care gum - $.37
2 pairs of fuzzy socks for Christmas gifts - $1.25 each
3 hairclips - I may keep some and gift some - $3.97 total
1 CVS brand makeup remover (full price - I was desperate!) - $3.99
1 pack of plain M & Ms to share with Emma - FREE after coupon
Total Out-of-Pocket: $18.56

That's WAY more than I usually spend at CVS, but I was happy to find the wrapping supplies and gift items at the bargain prices. I was disappointed, because my store was completely sold out of the $.99 Always Infinity (see HERE). Darn!

Have you found any clearance items at your CVS lately? I wonder if it's just my store or if others have been finding great deals too.
