I'm LOVING Swagbucks!!!!

I just redeemed my THIRD $5 Amazon gift card from Swagbucks! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this search site! I am doing the same amount of searching that I've always done, and I'm earning gift cards to search. I keep applying them to my Amazon account and using them whenever we find a song that we want to download. It's nice to not have to spend money to download the songs. By the time one gift card is almost gone, it seems like I always have another one coming right behind it.

If you want to earn gift cards (or other prizes) for searching online, just go HERE to sign up with Swagbucks. I am sooo hooked!

hi, i have a question about swagbucks...do you use it to search and then you get points? Or do you have to buy stuff? I signed up for it but I do not totally understand. Thanks!

Great question, Jenell! You use the Swagbucks home page as your search page. I actually downloaded the search toolbar so that it's always available at the top of my Internet window.

As you search, you get results just like you would in any other search engine. During random searches, you will see Swagbucks (like the one pictured at the top of this post) pop up above your search results. It will tell you how many bucks you've earned. You won't get points every time you search, just now and then.

These "bucks" pile up like points in your Swagbucks account. Once you accumulate 45 points, you're eligible for a $5 Amazon gift card. Of course, they have other prizes too. I just always go for the Amazon cards, because we're always buying something from Amazon. You can see all of the prizes in the SwagStore here: http://swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-home

The Swagbucks program is kind of like a loyalty card that you might get at a gas station or store. Once you get so many points, you redeem those points for items on the prize list. The only difference is that there's nothing to buy! Nothing beats FREE!

Can you tell me how to you get the Amazon gift card? I know you get the points, but how do you redeem the points? How long does it take to get the gift card? Does it come by email, mail or what? I always wondered how it works.

Evelyn, this is another great Swagbucks question! Once your point total reaches 45 points ("bucks"), you can click the Prizes button on the Swagbucks home page. You'll see all of the different prizes listed. I head straight for the gift cards link on the left. The Amazon one is usually close to the top, because it doesn't cost many points.

You simply confirm that you want to order the Amazon gift card, and the process begins. It does take a little bit of time, maybe 2-3 weeks. Then you'll get an email when it has been approved and completed.

When you get this email, you can log into your Swagbucks account, and click My Gift Cards. You'll see an Amazon code. Copy this code. Log into your Amazon account, and go to the Your Account link (usually in the upper right corner of the screen). One of the options under the Payments section is "Apply a Gift Certificate/Card to Your Account." Choose this option, and paste in the code from Swagbucks.

When you do these steps, you will end up with a $5 credit on your Amazon account. When you purchase from Amazon, the gift card total will be deducted from your order.

Let me know if any of this isn't clear. Thanks for the question!
