My CVS Trip - 6/21

I had a $5 off $30 purchase coupon for CVS, and it was expiring today. So I swung by CVS on our way home from our Father's Day outing. My family graciously waited for me in the van while I ran in. Fortunately they tolerate my obsession... and actually love that I save so much money! Here's what I got today.....

Retail Value (includes sale prices): $54.89
Out-of-Pocket Cost: $9.95 plus tax (81% savings)
Rebate Sent: $9.99
Final Cost: FREE

Transaction #1:
What I Bought:
1 M&Ms Plan - 3 for $2.00
5 Soy Joy bars - $1.00 each
1 Garnier hair color - $4.99
2 Huggies GoodNites - $8.99 each
1 Freestyle Glucose Meter (to donate) - $9.99
2 Sobe Lifewaters - Buy 1 - Get 1 Free - $1.29 for both
1 Mountain Dew (Hubby called while I was in the store and asked for caffeine!)
1 Diet Mt. Dew (for me)

Coupons Used:
-$.67 Free Chocolate Friday coupon for M&Ms
-$1.00 off 5 SoyJoy printable coupon HERE
-$2.00 SoyJoy coupon from previous CVS receipt (stack with manufacturer's coupon!)
-$1.29 Sobe Buy 1 - Get 1 Free coupon HERE
-$2.00 x 2 Huggies GoodNites coupons I printed somewhere online (????)
-$2.00 Huggies GoodNites coupon from previous CVS receipt
-$2.00 Huggies GoodNites CVS coupon I got in the mail a while back
-$5.00 off $30.00 purchase coupon
-$5.00 ECBs from about a month ago
-$9.99 Freestyle Meter coupon from 5/17 SmartSource insert

Total Out-of-Pocket: $9.95 plus tax
ECBs Earned: $5.00 ($4 SoyJoy, $1 for buying 2 Pepsi 20-ounce products)

Transaction #2:
Beano 100 count - Sale Price $11.99 (Regularly $16.99 - EEKS!)
-$1.00 off coupon from 5/3 SmartSource insert
-$7.00 off Beano 100 count from previous CVS receipt
-$5.00 ECBs from Transaction #1

Total Out-of-Pocket: FREE (paid 6 cents tax!)

I left the store with no ECBs, but I saved so much that I didn't mind! I would have spent almost $9.95 on a pack of pull-ups alone. This was a GREAT trip for me! I'll also be getting a $9.99 rebate on the glucose meter (which I'm donating). So all in all, this was a free trip!

Now that's a great trip. Well done.

Just an FYI, they will not give you the rebate if you used a coupon for the meter. I've tried and had it rejected.
