Kroger Trip 7/18 - LOTS of Deals!

Country music lovers from across the US and Canada have descended upon our area for the weekend for their annual outdoor music festival. While we usually try to avoid the grocery store and mall during this weekend, I couldn't pass up the deals at Kroger today! Here's what we ended up with:

Spent: $76.68 plus tax
Saved: $101.36
Catalinas for Next Trip: $3.00 ($1 Kleenex, $2 Yoplait)

Some of my favorite deals were ones where I paired the $5 off 10 item deal with our store's triple coupon weekend. Here are a few highlights (final prices are after $.50 per item from the $5 off 10 promo):

  • 2 Sobe Lifewater - $1.19 each
Used buy 1 - get 1 free coupon
    Final Price: $.19 each
  • 1 Colgate Kids toothpaste - $2.50
Used $.75 off coupon from 6/28 SmartSource (expires today)
Note: There was also a Cellfire coupon loaded on my Kroger card for this. I can't keep track of what's there when I'm focused on triple coupons! I wish they would fix the system to override it when you have a paper coupon!
    Final Price: $.50
  • 1 Speedstick 24/7 deodorant - $1.50
    Final Price: $1.00
  • 6 boxes Kleenex tissues - $1.69 each
Used 2 $.50 off 3 boxes printable coupons (HERE)
    Final Price: $.69 each
  • 2 Betty Crocker Brownie Mixes - $1.38 each
Use $.75 off 2 coupon from 6/28 SmartSource insert
    Cellfire coupon - $.75 off
    Final Price: $.13 each
  • 1 Juicy Juice - $2.49
    Final Price: $1.99
  • 2 Dixie Plates - $2.49 each
Used 2 $.50 off coupons from 5/10 Red Plum insert
    Final Price: $.49 each
  • 2 boxes Hartz Crunch 'n Clean dog biscuits - $2.99 each
Used 2 $2.00 off printable coupons (HERE)
    Final Price: $.49 each
  • 1 Sargento sliced cheese - $1.99
    Final Price: $1.49
  • 1 Chex Mix Select - $2.49
Used 1 $.50 off printable coupon (HERE)
    Final Price: $.49
  • 1 Snyders Pretzels - $2.69
Used a $.75 off coupon that a nice shopper handed me in the store!
This actually doubled... not sure why! Our store is only doubling up to $.50.
    Final Price: $.69

Other good triple coupon finds:

Pampers & Huggies wipes (plastic box size) - $2.50 each
Used $.50 off coupons from 7/5 P&G insert and printable from ???
Final Price: $1.00 per box
These are being stashed for baby shower gifts for my brother and sister-in-law (who I hope aren't reading this post!).

Yoplait yogurt cups - $.73 each
Used 3 $.50 off coupons HERE, HERE, or HERE
There were also $.50 off coupons loaded on my Cellfire and Shortcuts accounts. Did I mention that I'd like them to fix this????
I also received a $2.00 off catalina for buying 20.
Final Price: $7.10 for 20 or $.36 each

Dole Pineapple (canned) - $1.40
Used a $.50 printable coupon (no longer available)
Final Price: FREE

Lipton Pure Leaf Tea (16 oz. bottles) - $1.59
Used 3 $.50 off coupons from a tearpad
Final Price: $.09 each

Betty Crocker Warm Delights -$1.99 each
Used 6 $.50 off coupons
There were Cellfire and Shortcuts $.50 coupons loaded on my card.
Final Price: $.32 each ($1.94 for all 6)

Betty Crocker Frosting - $1.67 each
Used 2 $.50 off coupons
There were Cellfire and Shortcuts $.50 coupons loaded on my card.
Final Price: - $.66 (unintentional moneymaker)

We also found a manager's special on two loaves of the whole wheat and 9 grain bread that we like. The $1.49 per loaf we paid is about what we would usually pay for regular bread, and we like this better.

Overall, it was a good day for deals. Between this trip and the last one, we're well-stocked!
