Saving and Giving has moved to savingandgiving.net! I hope that you'll all join me over at Saving & Giving's new home. I'm planning some fun giveaways to kick things off. I'm still working on the site, and I'd love to hear your input. Let me know which features you want me to keep. You can email me at savingandgiving@gmail.com. If you're currently an email subscriber, you shouldn't see any change in your daily email newsletter. I switched the feed over so that you should continue to receive your daily updates.

New Cellfire Coupons Available

Cellfire just released a whole batch of new e-coupons today! If you're a Kroger (or Kroger affiliate) shopper, these can save you LOTS of money without ever clipping a coupon. The new coupons also pair nicely with the Mega Savings Event going on now at Kroger.

Just in case you're not familiar with this type of e-coupon, Cellfire is a company that offers coupons that can be loaded from your computer onto your Kroger shopping card. The cashier scans your card at checkout and scans your items. As the coupon-eligible items are scanned, the Cellfire discounts will automatically appear.

The Cellfire coupons will not double, even if your store doubles, but you can stack them with paper coupons for the same items. (There's been some hot debate over this, but Jenny from Southern Savers spoke directly with the people from Cellfire. You can read the summary of their conversation HERE.)

You can go HERE to register for Cellfire. You'll be asked to enter your cell phone, but I used my home phone instead. It said that you had to wait for a text message, but I was able to log in later using just my phone number and my year of birth. Once you're registered, you can head to the Deals section. You'll find lots of e-coupons listed there! Your Kroger card can hold up to 50 at one time. I usually only choose items that I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy. Other people I know load them all just in case they find a really good deal. (You can use these on markdowns, so a really good deal is very possible!) Choose the coupons you want to use, and click to load them onto your card.

An even easier option is to choose your coupons from the left sidebar on my blog site. (If you're viewing this via email or a reader, you'll need to click the title of this post in order to see the sidebar on the live site.)

The new coupons released today include:

  • $3.00 off 2 Huggies Diapers

  • $1.00 off any Kotex product

  • $.55 off 2 Pillsbury Toaster Strudel products

hi, i just found your blog - what a great resource! thank you! i'm now switching from shopping at marsh to kroger (the two main options where i live). :-)

anyway, just wanted to let you know that when i tried to join cellfire today using my home phone number, i got this message: "Your number was not recognized as a valid U.S. mobile number." it won't let me do anything else unless i change the phone number i entered....

thanks! jen

Jen - I think it may have done that for me too. But I checked back the next day and it was fine. I signed up quite a while ago, so it may have changed a bit since that time too. I would say that the savings would make it worth giving your cell number.
