One More CVS Trip


I actually did this trip on Wednesday. I'm just a little late getting it posted. I got a one-day-only $5 off coupon via email, so I figured I'd stop by to see what I could get with it. I paid a little more than usual out-of-pocket, but I really wanted to try the Nexxus shampoo and styler. (You can read about my hair woes HERE.)

1 Bic Soleil with refills - $6.99
1 Nexxus Shampoo - $9.99
1 Nexxus Styler - $11.98
1 Pepsi 20 oz. - $1.49

-$5.00 off any $25.00 purchase coupon from my email
-$3.00 Soleil coupon from 8/9 SmartSource insert
-$3.00 x 2 Nexxus coupons from 7/12 SmartSource insert
-$9.99 Extra Care Bucks from earlier this week (see HERE)

Out-of-Pocket: $6.47 plus tax
Extra Care Bucks Earned: $14.00 ($10 Nexxus, $3 Soleil, $1 Pepsi*)
I ended up getting back $4 more ECBs than I used.
Net Cost: $2.47
Savings: $27.99 (92%)

The good news is that the shampoo and styler did indeed make a HUGE difference! Now I'm going to have to watch for them to go on sale again!

*I bought 1 Pepsi product earlier this week, and you get $1 ECB for every 2 you buy.
