Menu Plan Monday - Week of 9/7

Our company arrives today, and I'm determined to keep things simple while we visit with them. (See my post HERE for more about having company without breaking the bank.) In fact, we're starting off the week with a Crock Pot full of chili. It's a rainy, gloomy day here... not so good for playing outside, but perfect for chili! Here's what I'm planning for the week.

Monday
Crock Pot Chili (recipe HERE)
Homemade biscuits or cornbread... We'll let the company decide.
Deep Dark Chocolate Cake (for my mother-in-law's birthday) with ice cream and chocolate syrup

Tuesday
Grilled Chicken Salads (using leftover grilled chicken from the freezer)
Leftover biscuits/cornbread from Monday

Wednesday
Leftover Chili

Thursday
Baked Fish & Rice with Broccoli (Recipe HERE)
I wanted to try this a couple of weeks ago, but I never got around to it!

Friday
Homemade Pizza

Saturday
Beef Fajitas

Sunday
Our Bible study small group is meeting, and I'll be taking baked goods from my freezer for this.

You can see that I'm truly keeping it simple this week. Our company is only staying for one night, but I'm working 2-1/2 days this week and still recovering from last week's cold. Simple is good!
