WOW! I want to use my B1G1 free coupons this week also. Am I missing something. I don't understand how you only paid $1.48 if you only used $5 coupon and
2 B1G1 coupons. What am I missing?

Great question, Beverly! I guess I just put it under "Automatic Discounts," but Rite Aid has CoverGirl face products on sale buy 1 - get 1 free this week. When the store has a B1G1 deal, and you have a B1G1 coupon, you get both FREE! I had 2 coupons. I got 2 free automatically with the Rite Aid sale, and I got the other 2 free with my coupons.

That's the beauty of the B1G1 coupon. And the store isn't out anything. They're running their own sale, so they would normally give you one free and have you pay for one. Instead, they'll be getting the payment for the one product from CoverGirl rather than from you. They still get their money (plus a coupon handling fee), so they aren't out anything.

Let me know if this doesn't make sense. I know that the B1G1 free + B1G1 coupon sounded pretty strange to me before I started trying it.

Hi. I tried this exact same deal today at my Rite Aid (in Massachusetts) and they would not do it for me. The store manager told me they would never do that, and we spent about 30 minutes going back and forth. I ended up walking out with nothing :( How do I get them to honor the coupons?

Thanks for explaining that. I will have to visit tomorrow before the sale ends.

Beverly, I had this happen to me at Rite Aid one time. I emailed the corporate office and asked them to send me a copy of their corporate coupon policy. I printed the reply, and I carry it in my coupon binder. That way, if there's a question, I can pull it out and show it to the cashier/manager.

You probably won't be able to do this in time to get this deal, but it's worth your time for future deals!

Beverly, I just saw that Deal Seeking Mom posted the Rite Aid coupon policy on her site. You can read it here: http://www.dealseekingmom.com/rite-aid-official-corporate-coupon-policy/ However, it does not directly address the buy one - get one free coupon policy. When I emailed Rite Aid, I asked that specific question.

Jennifer, I just got back from Rite-Aid and thanks to your BLOG I did indeed have a great savings day from Rite-Aid.
I too had to argue the B1G1CG coupon but in the end I prevailed!!!

My total with the Rite-Aid savings price was $41.94 but after coupons I only had to pay $8.43. That's a savings of $33.51 !!!!!
But boy I had to fight for the B1G1 coupon. That cashier was very rude with me. I will go and see the manager about it tomorrow because I spend a TON of money at that store.

Thank you for the great Blog!! My wallet appreciates you as do I!!!
