CVS: 4 Tide, 1 Dawn, 1 Almay for $2.24

Merchandise Value: $30.99
ECBs Used: $20.50
Out-of-Pocket Cost: $2.24 plus tax
ECBs Earned: $13.00
Savings: $ 28.75 (93%)

I stopped by CVS today because we're going to be needing laundry detergent SOON. I saw a similar version of this deal posted on Mom's Need to Know, and I thought I'd give it a try. Here's how it worked for me.

What I Bought:
4 Tide Detergents - $24.00 ($6.00 each)
1 Dawn Dish Soap - $1.00
1 Almay Mascara (my favorite!) - $5.99

Coupons Used:
$5.00 off a $25.00 purchase coupon I got via email from CVS
You could also use the $5 off $25 from watching the flu shot videos
2 $1.00 off Tide coupons from the 9/27 P&G insert
1 $.25 off Dawn coupon from the 9/27 P&G insert
1 $1.00 off Almay coupon from the 8/2 SmartSource insert
$20.50 ECBs from last week and last quarter (printed online last night)

Out-of-Pocket Cost: $2.24 plus tax
I didn't realize that the Tide Total Care was included in the sale, or I would have brought along the 2 $1 off coupons I have for that from a home mailer. I could have spent just $.24 out-of-pocket! That's what I get for leaving my coupon binder in the car and not wanting to take the time to go and get it!

ECBs Earned: $13.00 ($10 Tide/Dawn - $3 Almay)
