I've received some feedback from some of you who are having trouble getting the printable coupon links I post to work. In most cases, you're being told over and over and over again to install the coupon printer. This can be extremely frustrating when you KNOW that you've installed it.
Take heart! You're not doing anything wrong, and your computer is not malfunctioning. It's all about the Internet browser you're using. Each of the different browsers (Internet Explorer or Firefox) has its own unique coding. Let me show you how to change the code so that you can get your coupons to print.
Here's an example of a web address for a printable coupon:
http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=qjihabv31143565&bt=wg&o=59273&c=BI&p=q1zS0NDU
Notice the pink wg in the address? That's the code for Firefox. If you try to use this web address in Internet Explorer, you're going to be prompted to install the coupon printer. To make this web address work in Internet Explorer, you simply change the wg to wi. Then push the Enter key on your keyboard when you're done typing wi. The coupon will print! Magic!
Here are the changes that you need to make for each browser:
Firefox:
Change wi to wg.
Change vi to vg.
Internet Explorer:
Change vg to vi.
Change wg to wi.
Thanks to The Freebie Blogger for the initial explanation of this problem.

Do you have any idea why I keep being told that my Java isn't enabled and when I check, it is? I usually have this problem with Smart Source coupons, both with Mozzilla or IE.
thank you!
CFM - Have you updated your Java software? You can go here for some newer updates/fixes: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
Maybe that will help! I know that it takes a horribly long time for the SmartSource coupons to print for me. But I've not seen this error message.
