For this trip, I had a cashier who was operated like no other Rite Aid cashier I've ever encountered. She let me know that she had been there for 29 years and that my $5 off $25 coupon would not work because I didn't have a $25 total after coupons. I stayed calm, knowing that I had read the verbiage of the coupon. I knew that it stated that the $25 total was before coupons, not after. I politely asked her to just try it, and -- of course -- it went right through. No surprise to me.... BIG surprise to her. I felt good about the whole encounter, because I had remained polite and treated her with respect, even though I knew she was wrong.
