Yoplait Product Review & Giveaway

The generous folks from Yoplait and My Blog Spark sent me a Get Strong & Healthy gift pack that included a coupon for free Yoplait yogurt, an autographed copy of Nancy O'Dell's new book Full of Life, and a yoga mat with a carry-bag.

We're big yogurt fans at this house! In fact, one of my favorite ways to snack in the evening is to place a cup of yogurt into the freezer around dinnertime. It's usually frozen yogurt by the time I'm ready to eat it later in the evening. I tried freezing the Yoplait Orange Cream flavor this week, and it tasted just like an orange creamsicle! Yum!

I learned a few things about Yoplait yogurt from this product review...
  • 76% of the population is falling short of getting enough vitamin D; and 72% of the population is not getting enough calcium in their diets.

  • Consuming calcium and vitamin D during childhood and adolescence can help reduce risk of fractures in adulthood.

  • Yoplait is the only leading brand of yogurt containing calcium and vitamin D in every serving (10-20 percent of your daily value of vitamin D and an excellent source of calcium).
Nancy O'Dell is partnering with Yoplait to help people understand the importance of incorporating vitamin D and calcium into their diet, while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Are you interested in trying Yoplait yogurt, reading Nancy's book, and trying out a new yoga mat? My Blog Spark has provided two gift packs for my readers to win! There are five ways to enter (US & Canada only - Coupon not valid outside the US or within the states of ID, LA, ND, NJ, NV, or TN):

  • Leave a comment telling me your favorite way to include calcium and vitamin D in your family's diet (or let me know if you're not sure how to get enough vitamin D/calcium). Be sure to leave your email address or link to your Blogger profile (if it's public) so that I can contact you if you win.

  • Become a follower of this blog. You can follow by adding this site to your Google Reading list, or you can click the Follow button on the right side of this page. Once you sign up, leave a comment alerting me that you are following. Already a follower? Just leave me a comment letting me know.

  • Subscribe to this blog's daily email update. This gets you a single daily update email at the end of each day. If there are any posts at all, you get one email with all of them. If there aren't any posts, then you don't get an email. I promise to never give your email address to ANYONE else, and I don't email my list anything but the daily updates. If you already subscribe, leave a comment letting me know. If you sign up to subscribe, leave a comment letting me know.

  • Post this giveaway on your blog. If you do a post, leave a link directly to the post in the comments section here.

  • Place my button on your blog site. The code is directly below the button on the left side of this page. If you do this, leave a comment letting me know. Include your blog site address so that I can check it out! If you already have my button on your blog, leave me a link. I'll stop by to say hello.

If you're entering more than once, please leave separate comments letting me know what you did. If you do four different things to enter but only leave one comment, you only end up with one entry. Instead, leave a comment for each method of entry that you use.

The two winners will be chosen randomly on Monday, October 19 at 9:00 p.m. EST. Good luck!

I freeze Yoplait Go-gurts for my kids, throw them in their lunch and they are thawed by the time lunch comes and act as a cooling agent to keep cold things cold in the lunch bag!

We like cheese. Not very nutritious though. We go through ups and downs with yogurt. Sometimes we love it, other times my kids won't even look at it. I'll try freezing it, maybe that'll help.
