Saving and Giving has moved to savingandgiving.net! I hope that you'll all join me over at Saving & Giving's new home. I'm planning some fun giveaways to kick things off. I'm still working on the site, and I'd love to hear your input. Let me know which features you want me to keep. You can email me at savingandgiving@gmail.com. If you're currently an email subscriber, you shouldn't see any change in your daily email newsletter. I switched the feed over so that you should continue to receive your daily updates.

Because I'm Up for Another Challenge

I just completed the January Eat from Your Pantry Challenge... with flying colors, I might add. In fact, my mom even caught the pantry spirit. She made us dinner the night I came home from the hospital, and, in keeping with the Eat from the Pantry theme, she made a dish using things she had on-hand. Go, Mom!

Now that the pantry has been pared down and the freezer is much more manageable, I'm up for yet another challenge. This one has been a burden for me for quite some time.

The computer room..... {sigh}

It's the place of never-ending messiness in our home, and the clutter makes me much less productive. I have never worked well in a messy space, but I'm up to my eyeballs in clutter in this room. And it's where I try to let the creative juices flow. I blog here. I create invitations and stationery for people here. I do my online grading here. I connect with friends, family, and complete strangers online here! And it's a mess.

That is my motivation for jumping into this challenge with both feet!

Laura from I'm an Organizing Junkie is hosting the 28 Day Organizing Challenge. She's asking us to choose a space in our home to transform during the month of February. She's going to hold our hands and walk us through the shift from cluttered chaos to order. And I'm oh-so ready!

Are you up for a challenge like this one? If so, head over HERE to read the details. Laura's even offering prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. I'm thinking that the best prize will be a clutter-free, more organized space in my home.

This came at the perfect time! We have been discussing organizing the basement to make it at least functional for our family! Now we have a goal to meet!

Good luck! I too am working on my computer room - any chance you are able to share some photos?

Well ladies, we have a lot of work ahead of us. I'm actually pretty excited about this one. I keep saying that I'm going to get the room organized, but I keep giving up! It's time!!

I will be sharing some pictures. I just haven't taken them yet. (And I just dread the thought!) But it's a great way to stay accountable. Also, Laura's reminders will help me a lot.

I do have a few pictures posted from the last time I started this project. Unfortunately, I think the room looks worse now than it did in those pictures. They're posted here: http://savingandgiving.blogspot.com/2009/06/you-may-never-read-my-blog-again-after.html

I am so anxious about this challenge, but I am going to try to get my office done. There is so much clutter: books, papers, files... I don't know if it'll ever look like I want it to, but I better stop being negative and get to work.

I did take some pictures last night. I want to be able to prove how much progress I made. I just have to get up the nerve to post them. Ugh! This room is horrible right now. Petula, I'm with you.... papers, papers everywhere!!
