Kroger: Stocking Up on Sales During the Pantry Challenge

It's Day 15 of the Eat from the Pantry Challenge, and we're still going strong! I decided to head to Kroger today to take advantage of some great coupon/sale matchups. Since we didn't need much to supplement what was in the pantry/fridge/freezer, I was able to focus on snagging some great deals. Here's what I got. (Click to enlarge the picture.)

Spent: $37.58
Saved: $73.00 (66%)

I have always been amazed at the way that Crystal spends only $40 on groceries each week. Since she and Jessica have challenged us to eat from our pantries this month, I've realized how she does it. By eating from the pantry and only shopping for what you absolutely need, you have a lot of grocery budget left to stock up on items that are at rock bottom prices.

This month, I'm trying to snag the best of the best deals. I've added some things to my pantry/storage area, but they've been moved to the back. I'm still going to use up what's been there longest first. But, when the challenge is over, I'll have other things in the pantry for us to use for meals. By continuing to use what's in the pantry on a rotating basis, I should be able to continue to stock up on deals and spend less and less at the grocery store each week!

You can find all of my favorite Kroger weekly deals HERE. I've also explained how to get the Hunts pasta sauce for $.39 each HERE.
