Say CHEESE, CHEESE, CHEESE, CHEESE, CHEESE!

Guess what most of our menu plans will include for the next few weeks! You guessed it.... Dishes made with CHEESE!

We stopped by Kroger on the way home from church today, and stocked our freezer full of cheese for $1 per pack. I usually hope for $1.25 for a good stocking up, so I certainly wasn't going to pass up $1!

I owe a HUGE thanks to my bloggy friend Kristin for letting me know about this sale! It's only good through today, so hurry out if you want to stock up.

Does anyone have any good cheesy recipes to share???

Does shredded cheese freeze well and for how long will it last frozen? Thanks for the great tips!!!

Shredded cheese freezes beautifully! I guess I didn't need to freeze it, as most of the sell-by dates weren't until August. I just freeze it because there's usually more room in my freezer than my fridge. But I've found no difference in consistency when I use cheese I've frozen. However, I have heard that the bars of cheese are softer when they're frozen and thawed. I haven't tried that though.

Oops! I just realized I didn't answer the other part of your question. I'm not sure how long it lasts frozen. We eat a lot of cheese, so this will be gone before the sell-by date.
