Rite Aid: Using What's Free to Get What We Need

It's official... We all three have colds. And we used the last cold pill this morning. That meant a run to some store to pay full price - minus the $1 coupon I had - for some cold meds. That didn't thrill me, so I started to think a little more creatively.

There's a lot available for free at Rite Aid this week, and there are $5 off $25 and $3 off $15 printable coupons available. I knew there had to be a way to make that work for us. Here's what we ended up with.

Merchandise Value: $40.36
Out-of-Pocket Cost: $1.04 plus tax
Savings: $39.32 (97%)

Here's how I did it.

What I Bought:
2 CoverGirl Advanced Radiance Foundation - $11.82 each
3 Renu Travel - $.99 each
4 Starburst Tear 'n Share - $1.49 each
1 Advil Cold & Sinus - $7.79 each

Store Sales:
-$11.82 CoverGirl Buy 1 - Get 1 FREE Sale
-$2.98 Starburst Buy 1 - Get 1 FREE Sale

Coupons Used:
-$5.00 off $25.00 purchase printable coupon
-$11.82 CoverGirl Buy 1 - Get 1 FREE coupon from 2/7 P&G insert
-$1.00 off x 3 Renu Printable coupons
-$1.10 off x 2 Starburst coupons (Become a Facebook fan to print)
-$1.00 off Advil coupon from 1/31 RedPlum insert
-$1.50 off Advil Video Values printable coupon

Out-of-Pocket Cost: $1.04 plus tax

Now that sure beats full-price, even minus a coupon! Be sure to check out all of the great deals available at Rite Aid this week!
