So Have You Shopped the Super Double Coupons at Kmart?

I haven't been to Kmart yet this week, but I was wondering how the latest super double coupon event was going. Has anyone been there yet? Have they been strict about coupons? I've heard rumors that they're not accepting more than 1 of a particular coupon from each customer each day, but that could just be a rumor. Leave me a comment telling me about your Kmart experience this week. Maybe I'll brave it later in the week!

I've gone every day so far. They have taken multiples of the same coupon. They aren't giving any overages and unlike last year the shelves aren't completely cleared of all the good deals yet.

I WENT TODAY TO GET THE ALL LAUNDRY DETERGENT. GOT 4 FOR FREE USING THE $2.00 OFF COUPONS (used 4 q's). ALL WENT WELL.

I went and the cashier did not know what to do with the shop your way card so the manager was called. The manager told me that it is kmart coporate policy NOT to accept internet coupons and that if any cashier or any Kmart anywhere does they are wrong.

Is this true? Is there a Kmart corporate policy statement anywhere that I can take with me? Has anyone had this problem, and if so, what did you do?

No, personally I find they are so rude as a chain that it is not worth my effort, even for one or two good free items. I'm gonna put principle before money on the issue of dealing with them. -Amanda Y. (ayyogurt)(at)(yahoo)

I have shopped every day and walked away paying only a few cents each day. They are not being particular at all about how many of each item you get, only that you can use 5 coupons a day per rewards card. I have 2 cards though - mine and my boyfriend's, so I am able to do 10 deals a day. However, that has gotten me some great savings! I have managed to get razors, sunflower seeds, toothpaste, feminine products, tweezers, and makeup for free. Plus, that last free set of items qualified me for a $10 P&G rebate by mail. All in all, I think it was a great deal!

I forgot about getting the free laundry detergent! Kmart does not have a printed coupon policy, but I know they let me use the internet printable coupons. I think every store kind of makes up their own rules as they go. And to the other poster, you are right about the rudeness. I put in a complaint while I was at the store yesterday with the manager about her CS people and the assistant managers. I do not know how much good it did, but I felt better afterwards!

I have gone twice and have been successful both times. I have used internet coupons with no problem. A couple of coupons have beeped for no apparent reason, but the cashiers have been able to override the system and take the coupons. There is no overage, but, hey, the item is still free! I want to go back again at least one more time to try and get the $10 P&G prepaid Mastercard deal. Other than that, I'm about out of ideas on what to get because KMart's prices seem extremely high.

Kmart's OLD coupon policy stated that they would not take Internet coupons. However, that changed almost a year ago. You may want to email or call Kmart's corporate office and get something emailed directly to you so that you can take it to the store with you. You might also request that corporate call and set the manager straight on their coupon policy.

I actually just sent an email to them. If I get an answer back, I'll be sure to post it for you!

I may have to stop for the All detergent. I think I have 3 coupons, and I'm almost out of detergent.

Amanda - I've started kindly complaining about employees who are misinformed/rude too. I've seen some results at Rite Aid and CVS, so hopefully the manager at your Kmart store takes you seriously. In our current economic environment (and with Kmart struggling to stay afloat financially), they may pay more attention to what customers have to say.

Kathy - You're SO right that Kmart's prices are high. I don't usually shop there except during the double coupon events. And then I'm just seeking out the good deals... nothing else!

I did three days of deals. Once you get passed the fact that no one knows what going on the end result is that you walk out of there with free things. I did 5 shampoos (3 Pantene from the $2Q that Pantene sent through Vocalpoint- 1 Loreal and 1 Dove), 5 deodorants (all Dove which I love), 2 Soft Scrub, 1 Dentastix and 2 John Frieda styling products and I believe I paid $4 oop total. But I also got a $5 catalina for the Dove deodorants so I guess I made $1. :) No matter how frustrating it was to have to go in three times to use 15 coupons (It IS frustrating) it really is worth it in my opinion. P.S. I will never go to KMART again without due cause! There prices are too high!! Good luck!

1 Gilette Men's Body Wash = $4
1 Pack Pampers = $9.99
1 Swiffer Sweeper Refills = $4.89
2 Tampax Pearls = $8.98

I had $2 coupons for each item so it equaled the max total of $10 off, plus $10 P&G Rebate = $1.07 Moneymaker!!

I had no problems with my Kmart. I used my rewards card and was able to do 3 transactions in a row last night (5 coupons each transaction). My mom was with me and did 5 transactions in a row. Our Kmart has always always stuck to the 10 coupon limit in the past, but they had no problems with me doing multiple transactions this time around.

Wow, Chrys! I was near Kmart today, so I shopped a little. I did one transaction and stopped at that. I may have to see if my store will allow multiples. That would make it worth a trip.

Great moneymaker, Rachel!

They were so rude (and always are) and their stuff was so overpriced that it really isn't worth it for me to go back. When I got in the only line open I stood there for about 5 minutes and then realized another cashier had opened her register. No one was in her line.. she was just standing there. No "I'll take the next person in line" or anything. Then she looked annoyed when I got in her line.
They even somehow managed to miss one of my coupons and had shoved it in that little drawer thing before I caught it. UGH. I keep seeing all these deals people are getting and I just can't even stand the thought of walking back in that store. So Kmart doubles are OVER for me.
