Saving and Giving has moved to savingandgiving.net! I hope that you'll all join me over at Saving & Giving's new home. I'm planning some fun giveaways to kick things off. I'm still working on the site, and I'd love to hear your input. Let me know which features you want me to keep. You can email me at savingandgiving@gmail.com. If you're currently an email subscriber, you shouldn't see any change in your daily email newsletter. I switched the feed over so that you should continue to receive your daily updates.

My Target Plan

We don't usually do much shopping at Target because it's about 30 minutes away. However, we have a return from our last trip, and the Kashi deal this week is too great to pass up. My husband watches his cholesterol, and the dietician said that Kashi cereal is just about the best thing he could be eating for breakfast.

Kashi cereal is 4 for $11 at Target this week. If you purchase those 4 boxes, you also get a $5 gift card back. We received a booklet of Kashi coupons from VocalPoint. I honestly don't remember signing up, but I am so glad that I did! It was full of $1 off coupons for Kashi GoLean cereal. I've already used the $2 off one, but we can make this deal work without that one.

Buy 4 Kashi GoLean Crunch for $11.00.
-$1.00 off x 4 = -$4.00
Total: $7.00 OOP
Receive: $5.00 gift card

If I have enough coupons (haven't counted yet), we could do this again like this:

Buy 4 more GoLean Crunch for $11.00.
-$1.00 off x 4 = -$4.00
-$5.00 gift card from the first transaction
Total: $2.00 OOP
Receive: $5.00 gift card

We would spend a total of $9.00 OOP. That's about what I would normally pay for about 3 boxes of cereal when I don't have coupons (which is too often for as much Kashi as we buy!). That's 8 boxes for the price of 3 PLUS a $5.00 gift card left over. Not bad!
If you don't have the VocalPoint coupons and you haven't yet joined the Kashi website, you could print some coupons here.
