Saving and Giving has moved to savingandgiving.net! I hope that you'll all join me over at Saving & Giving's new home. I'm planning some fun giveaways to kick things off. I'm still working on the site, and I'd love to hear your input. Let me know which features you want me to keep. You can email me at savingandgiving@gmail.com. If you're currently an email subscriber, you shouldn't see any change in your daily email newsletter. I switched the feed over so that you should continue to receive your daily updates.

Priorities

Those of you who subscribe to this blog's feed may have noticed that I've been semi-absent from blogging lately. This is due to keeping a closer eye on my priorities. I had found myself putting blogging above other things that truly needed to be done at home. I love to blog, so I'm naturally drawn to the blogosphere just for fun! But having it cause me to get behind (and adding major stress because of being behind) made me stop and take a look at where my time was being spent.

My first stop was helping my daughter fill her "God's Nature Box" for preschool. We went to our local state park and found small items that she could take to school, items that showed the beauty and variety of God's creation. (I didn't realize until we were done that you really aren't supposed to take items out of the park like this -- OOPS!) The picture above shows my daughter and husband on the path we walked. What a great way to stop and enjoy the beauty of fall and thank God for His creativity and handiwork!

Since my in-laws came to visit this week, we did some more detailed housecleaning than usual. That took time. I also had to do some extra shopping. That took time. Then we visited while they were here. That certainly took time. We also tagged along on our daughter's first field trip. That took well-spent time! All of this left little time for blogging.

So... now that the house is cleaned, the pantry is well-stocked, the company's gone, and the field trip is over.... I should be able to do more deal-seeking for you! I truly appreciate all of you who read and comment on this blog. It makes me get organized in my own deal-seeking, and it's fun to see how much money we can all save!!
