My favorite CVS deal this week is the Johnson & Johnson First Aid To Go! kits. They are priced at $.99 each. This week you get $2.00 in ECBs when you buy 2 J&J First Aid items. The first aid kits are included in this deal. There were $1.00 off J&J Red Cross product coupons in the 5/17 Red Plum and 8/2 SmartSource insert. These coupons make the first aid kits FREE. Your cashier will have to manually adjust down the value of the coupons to $.99.
So.... You're paying NOTHING for the first aid kits and getting $2.00 in ECBs back. If I had more coupons, I'd go back for another round. You can do this deal 5 times!
I found the first aid kits hanging above the travel-sized items. If your store doesn't have them, remember to ask for a raincheck. They now clip off the portion of the ad that shows the ECB deal, so you get the price shown plus the ECBs.

Don't forget that you can roll the ECBs for the J&J deal. While it won't be a moneymaker, you'll get extra first aid kits that come in randomly handy (I have a ton all over the house and in each car). Or you can always donate them. =)
So it would work out like this...
Trans. #1:
2 J&J First aid kits 1.98
Use 2 $1/1 J&J coupons
OOP: NOTHING
Get back $2 ECBs
Trans. #2-5
2 J&J First Aid kits 1.98
Use $2 ECBs
OOP: NOTHING
Get back $2 ECBs
Thanks for sharing about getting the rain check for the ECB. I did not know they would do ECB if the item was not in stock. We learn something new everyday! :)
Can't you just do all 5 at once, if you had 10 coupons???? I just went up to my CVS and they were all gone! Bummer, got a raincheck -thanks for letting me about that's $10 MM for me, yippeee!!
