I did the bulk of the shopping for this past week last Sunday and only spent $46.40 at Kroger. My husband was kind enough to stop two other times to round up some odds and ends that we'll be needing for next week's menu plan. He spent $38.73 for the coming week's groceries. We may need to make a quick stop for milk or produce, but otherwise, the cupboards and freezer are full! He picked up two bags of frozen chicken breasts today, and I'm hoping to cook up a whole bag of them, dice them up, and freeze them in meal-sized portions. I love to cook with diced chicken, but I hate to cut up raw or partially frozen chicken to do it. It seems really time-consuming. I'm thinking that I might just cook them in the Crock Pot tomorrow and have them ready for the next week or two.
I made two stops at CVS, one for deals and the other for medicine for my daughter. I'll talk later about the lesson that I learned from the medicine trip. You can view my CVS deal trip HERE. I ended getting $29.82-worth of merchandise for only $1.84. I used $5 ECBs and earned $9 ECBs. Not bad!
