there is a $1 coupon in the flu book to make the toothpaste free.
Jen - I did my first real shopping trip to CVS last week! I saved a ton of money by trying out your scenarios. The bad part was that they really gave me a hard time about going through the line the second time. Do I need to be going in two different trips? I only went through twice because the second time, they were huffy and rude.
My brother is joining the Army so I can't wait to make him care packages with all the toothpaste, razors, etc... Thanks again for all the information!
Kristy - I'm so glad you jumped in and tried CVSing! I'm really surprised to hear that they gave you a hard time about doing multiple transactions. That's really rare! I would actually consider talking with the manager.
I have heard of some people doing their first transaction, taking the items to the car, coming back in, and doing another transaction. That sounds like a lot of extra effort to me, but I'm spoiled by my kind cashiers. You might find that it's worth the hassle to avoid a headache with your grumpy cashiers!
I love the idea of using the extras you snag at CVS for your brother! He's really going to appreciate that!!
