Odds-n-Ends Shopping: Kroger and Walmart

Emma and I stopped by Kroger and Walmart today to pick up a few odds-n-ends. There's definitely nothing meal-worthy here. I think I'm going to plan from the pantry/freezer again this week. The canned goods and freezer overfloweth, so we'd better be using some of what we already have!

Walmart
Here's what we got at Walmart. (Click the photo to enlarge it.)

Merchandise Value: $31.20
Out-of-Pocket Cost: $13.20
Savings: $18.00 (58%)

The savings here were all coupon-related. Here's what I used:
$1.00 off x 6 White Cloud coupons from 9/27 SmartSource (bought on eBay)
$3.00 off 2 Huggies Pull-Ups wipes from 7/19 SmartSource
$4.00 off 2 x 2 Rolaids coupon from 10/4 RedPlum insert*
$1.00 off Revlon tool coupon from 10/18 or 11/15 SmartSource insert

* The Rolaids coupon beeped, probably because the Rolaids I chose (2 SoftChews for $2.52 each and 2 3-roll packs for $1.32 each) were less than $4.00 for 2. The cashier entered the manually. I thought she might adjust them down, but she didn't. So, if you try this deal, do so knowing that you may not be able to use that coupon. If that happens, just buy 2 packs of SoftChews. They would be $5.04, so you'd get them for $.52 each after coupons. That's still a good deal!

Kroger
Our Kroger stop was mainly for newspapers. I just grabbed a few items we needed while we were there. And Emma grabbed a free cookie from the bakery. Everyone was happy! (Click the photo to enlarge it.)

Spent: $6.80
Saved: $3.56 (34%)

I used a $2 catalina from last week's Kroger trip (HERE). I also used a $.50 off coupon (which doubled) that I got in the mail when I emailed Pepperidge Farm to tell them how much Emma loved their Goldfish crackers! They actually sent me four coupons, but I'm waiting for a better sale to use the other ones. My husband also stopped Friday for a gallon of milk, so we should be set for this week!
