CVS - Saved 96%

Starting ECBs: $4.00
Total Merchandise Value: $27.07
Total Out-of-Pocket Cost: $1.08 plus tax
Ending ECBs: $5.50
Savings: $25.99 (96%)

Since my CVS run earlier this week was done on a whim and without a plan, I thought I'd make one more stop today. I had a plan, but I changed it once I got to the store and found that they only had 1 of the Crest rinses. I did two transactions, and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome.

Transaction #1
What I Bought:

2 CoverGirl Clean Makeup Powder Compacts - $6.00 each
1 Aussie Shampoo - $2.99
1 Crest Rinse - $3.50
1 Diet Mt. Dew (Yep, the bottle's empty in the picture!) - $1.59

Coupons Used:
-$5 off $15 purchase CVS coupon*
-$6.00 - Buy 1 - Get 1 FREE CoverGirl coupon from 2/7 P&G insert
-$1.00 off 1 CoverGirl coupon from 2/7 P&G insert
The $1 off was used on the item that wasn't free.
-$1.00 off Aussie shampoo coupon from 2/14 RedPlum insert
-$2.00 off Crest rinse coupon from 2/7 P&G insert
-$4.00 ECBs

Total Out-of-Pocket: $1.08 plus tax
ECBs Earned: $10.50 ($5 CoverGirl, $3.50 Crest, $2 Aussie)

Transaction #2
Bought 1 ThermaCare Heat Wraps - $6.99 (NOT on sale - eek!)
Used $2.00 off coupon found on the package
Used $5.00 ECBs from Transaction #1
Total Out-of-Pocket: $0 - just tax!
ECBs Earned: $0

I ended up spending very little, getting a couple of needed items, and walking away with $1.50 more in ECBs than I started with. Not bad! I could have spent a little less had I opted for a $.99 box of CVS brand tissues instead of the Mt. Dew, but sometimes you've got to go with the caffeine!
