As promised, here's the recap of my lunch hour CVS trip today. I was thrilled to be able to score 6 bags of Hershey Kisses for almost nothing! Here's what I bought:
Starting ECBs: $8.00
Merchandise Value: $31.30
Out-of-Pocket: $.31 + $.24 tax = $.55 total
ECBs Earned: $11.99
Savings: $30.75 (98%)
I'm not keeping the glucose meter, so I guess you could say that my merchandise total (for my family) was $16.31. That means that I still scored a great deal at 97% off!
What I Bought:
1 Bayer Contour Glucose Meter (for donation) - $14.99
6 Hershey Kisses - $1.97 each ($11.82)
1 Peeps - $.50
1 Colgate Total - $3.99
Coupons Used:
-$30 Bayer coupon adjusted down to $14.99
-$2.00 off 3 x 2 printable Hershey coupons
-$1.00 off 1 Hershey CVS coupon from previous store receipt
-$2.00 off 2 Hershey CVS coupon from previous store receipt
-$1.00 off Colgate coupon from 3/7 SmartSource insert
-$8.00 ECBs from last week
ECBs Earned:
$5.00 Glucose Meter
$3.00 for buying $10 worth of Easter candy
$3.99 Colgate
Out-of-Pocket Cost: $.31 plus tax

With the extra ECBs earned, I came out $3.44 ahead!
If you want to do the Hershey deal, the $1.97 price is only good through Tuesday. So you have to hurry!
